Hi, Iām Kelsey Wooten
About Me
My name is Kelsey Wooten and I am a mental health therapist and owner of Regenerated Minds. I graduated from Northwest MIssouri State University in 2015 with a Bachelors in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology. I have always been fascinated by the human brain and how we interact with each other. During my time living in Maryville, MO I worked at the Nodaway County Senior Center. This provided me with an experience of how important taking care of our community and each other is.
I graduated from the counseling program at University of Missouri - St. Louis in 2019. Throughout my program I worked in a variety of settings that challenged me and taught me lessons about how gritty, challenging, and beautiful life can be. During my internship I worked at Safe Connections, a St. Louis based domestic violence non-profit. There I ran a group, facilitated in-takes, and worked the 24/7 crisis line. I also worked in a residential setting with teens who were experiencing addiction, mental illness and legal challenges. This experience left me with a deep understanding of how impactful our relationships are on us, and the importance of having healthy, safe people around you, and how challenging navigating health systems can be.
Outside of session I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, listening to music, seeing live shows, going for a walk, cooking or reading.
